During the 1995–2003 interval, research converged on hierarchical, biomineralization-inspired design, directing mineral morphogenesis through organic matrices to yield biomimetic fluorapatite-gelatin composites and calcium carbonate polymorphs, thereby linking microstructure to function in dental and bone contexts.
